i had the same issue with my truck wipers slowly started gettin worse i even cleaned the MFS with electrical contact cleaner an worked a few more months of course one...

run it threw the brake booster line bud hold ur finger over it after removal have a friend start the truck slowly pour the seafoam in an shut it off for 5min if the truck dies u poured to fast

buy a new tensioner when u replace the timing belt kragen has a good replacement and u just re-use the mounting bolt, i even used a wooden hammer handle instead of the tension release tool

did u bring the #1 cylinder to TDC i used a broken plug wire to feel when it came to the top an had an extra set of hands spin the crank nut, even with the timing belt half way on there i had to...

you should check ur timing marks which will make more sense to change the belt while your in there because they do stretch as they age which could let it jump a tooth if u have fuel pressure and...

Sandmans got it right but while ur in there look at ur water pump its so easy to change while u have the radiator out anyway use an strong bungie cord to hold the power steering bracket and watch the...

very common for these rangers get lower replacements an upper arms with grease-able zerk fittings my joints and rubber boots u speak of were also trashed at 80k mite as well change outer tie rods...

okay everyones got it wrong so far, esp- 99 rangers " mines got a solid window"
but they all had crappy sealant used around the edges of the window where it bolts in , i think theres 6 or more nuts...

okay okay use gear oil bud Lucas oil makes a great 80w product you have the Mitsubishi tranny which is gear oil, but new models have mazda tranny which is Mercron only

be sure to remember where your cam bolts were facing an their exact spot , i found the videos on youtube were very helpful and didnt even use a spring compressor be sure to replace your upper control...
