Go slower, replace air filter, check tire pressure, minimize weight, take a route with the least amount of mountainous terrain, ect.

You need a 8.8 with the same axle ratio as your existing one. Maybe snag an exploder (explorer) axle with the disk brakes.

If you're eventually doing more, just crank your t-bars (coil spacers if you're coiled) and add-a-leaf rear. That'll get you along til your big lift.

Help it breathe better (intake and exhaust including heads ect), add lightness, or motor swap. The new ecoboost out of the Focus ST would give you fantastic numbers.
