Make sure your illumination wire (orange wire on aftermarket plug in harness) and dimmer (orange/white) are insulated good. Sounds like its grounding out.

Most viper alarms or dei brands use basically the same plugs. Look on the back of the main unit (brain) it should show all the wire colors and where they go. DEI uses the same color wires for each...

Well I used 80w gear oil. Shifts like butter. Doesn't grind going into first or reverse anymore. So there it is. This particular tranny goes with 80w. gear oil.

I searched and searched this forever and found nothing anywhere else. I repair manual also calls for 80w up to 87. So mines an 87 so thats what ill put in her. Thanks

Thanks for all the help. Ill be using gear oil. It does have a removable pan on the bottom. Aluminum one with ribs going down it. The repair manual says up to 87 to use 80w so Ill go with that. ...

yeah its the 8 plug head. I was just going to use the 4 plugs and forget about the other 4. Unless there is something wrong with doing that?
