04 2wd 2.3l, 5sp manual.
With stock 225/70/15 toyo street tires on stock rims I get 28 mpg.
Now with 30x9.50x15 Cooper stt mud tires on black steelies, I get 23-24 mpg.

I copped my muffler off and welded on a magnaflow muffler.
Sounds good too me. Almost to ricey at low RPMs.

With my 04 2.3L 2wd ranger, I pull my 14ft Alaskan Smokercraft with a 30hp jet. Truck does just fine! Id say the boat, motor, trailer and all the gear is at 1000lbs??? IDK...

If I can go 60-65mpg down the freeway I can see 29mpg. But I don't. Like I said, 25-29mpg, most the time with the way I drive I get 25-26mpg.

I drove my truck off the lot new.
Back when I had a stock exaust,..5th gear @ 50 mph, the truck on level ground just couldnt do it. It was that simple.

Mine (04 2.3l) is on the drivers side under the intake. I had to pull the drivers wheel off and the inner fender to get to it. It kinda sits behind some coolent lines so its kinda hiden.

well...i pulled on it. didn't know that a PCV would come a part on me..in other words..the bottom half is broken off inside.
