Re: Official Ranger Vs Fullsize Thread
Gears do not change the amount of torque being applied to the ground. They can move peak torque lower in the RPM band, but the actual torque reading will be the same no matter the gearset is. If...

Re: Clay Bar question
You can use water, just claybar it and dry it quick as water dries faster.
I had the same kit ans the bottle has lasted through several sessions on multiple cars, are you applying too much?

Re: Official Ranger Vs Fullsize Thread
Gear's don't affect power, even when measuring power at teh ground. And the reason diesel's don't run gears like that are due to their low rev limit and usage; rarely do those trucks rev over a...

Re: Rear end
As C clips wear over time, that tolerance increases. On some high mileage vehicles you could be seeing an eighth of an inch in play, but we don't know how many miles OP has on his truck

Re: What do you think ?
Have you tried step bars? There are retractable ones that tuck up under the truck but come much closer to the ground when exposed than a regular nerf bar. The F150 could be easier to get in as the...

Re: Rear end
If the wheel pulls straight and evenly out a small fraction of an inch, that is normal. If the wheel moves out unevenly (i.e. if you rocked the top/bottom of the wheel) that is not normal.

He could run a y off the single outlet, but i was under the impression he wanted a dual outlet on his muffler. I might have read it wrong then

Re: Can't do it
If your muffler is only a single outlet, then you can't just cut a hole in it and run a dual outlet. You would need a single in/dual out muffler to start with.

Go smaller in the diameter and definately use an X or H pipe. As is, the stock diameter is more than enough and its a y pipe setup; with duals you will lose velocity in the exhaust gases if you use...

Re: is it safe to disconnect the exhaust pipe after the cats?
Will sound like horse shit, especially with a 3.0. It won't float a valve or anything like that, so no, there is no danger to the engine.
I sure hope you do not have just open headers on that...

Paint the letters of Ford in the same blue as your truck. Would look really cool with just the blue letters against the all black grill, would really pop out

Re: Thoughts on price of 2002 Ranger
Im also in CT and will agree that sounds overpriced. I paid 13k for my 2006 lvl 2 with 55k miles that I found in New London. I would broaden your search into Mass and parts of New York too.
