Re: Sh!t hit the fan this morning, missing on #1 and #6

got them changed tonight. note to anyone changing your o2 sensors. while it isn't required, i would advise unbolting the transmission linkage and moving it out of the way prior to changing it. it...

Re: Sh!t hit the fan this morning, missing on #1 and #6

a new spring has pretty much fixed it. runs normal now. however, my check engine came on with o2 sensors out of range, both banks. going to change them and see what goes on then. could be an intake...

Re: 3.0 no oil pressure n eng light runs like shit. HELP!

cps fo sho. you were smart for leaving it there. i wouldn't drive it until you get that fixed. it will take out your engine. the reason it runs bad is because the sensor went out and now the computer...

Re: Sh!t hit the fan this morning, missing on #1 and #6

compression test yield 0 in #6 (140 in all other 5). leak down on #6 came to 97% and the tech described a hissing near the exhaust but he couldn't confirm a bad valve from that.

so it's narrowed...

Re: Sh!t hit the fan this morning, missing on #1 and #6

i've put maybe 15 miles on it in this condition, it is fairly hard to start and keep running. it has also developed backfiring in a passenger side cylinder and lifter noise in the #6 area. It's going...

Re: Check Engine Light On

most any auto parts store can read it and guide you to the correct part to fix the problem.

or you can always take it to the dealer to have them read it and pay a tech to put it in for you, but it...

Re: What's the best way to get more power out of my 3.0?

actually he was talking about towing.

it should have no problem towing your motorcycle. there are a couple things you can do to get more power, but it depends how much you want to spend. I believe...

Re: Starter turns. Does not engage crankshaft.

when you turn the engine over by hand you can build up pressure in one of the cylinders and it may kick the engine over because of the pressure build up. it's somewhat dangerous on older cars that...

Re: Starter turns. Does not engage crankshaft.

it's not a good thing to do but you should be able to turn the engine over by pulling the accessory belt, it should be connected to the crank pulley. if you can't get it, try removing the spark plugs...

Re: swapped engines strange things happening

^yes. and btw tranny had great pressure. i'm just going to throw a new sensor in and go from there. most likely the tps is causing the problem and not telling the tranny when to shift, this explains...

Re: Opinions and Suggestions greatly wanted :)

let me also add that during the swap we also changed the filter on the transmission. can you install a filter wrong, giving the transmission low oil pressure causing it to shift strange giving me...

Re: some timing belt questions

your engine actually has a timing chain. your supposed to do one every 150k, although most people don't worry about it. they can last a long time. You DO want to watch our for you cam syc sensor. if...
