Re: Fog switch wiring

If it is pre-wired, the switch harness will be behind the center radio bezel about center mass on the passenger side. Remove the two screws above the HVAC controls and gently pull the bezel away from...

Re: Cyber White Fog Lamps 01-03 Ranger-WV

Yes, it comes with the wiring, switch, and instructions as shown in the photos. You can also use the OEM Ford switch with them (or any aftermarket fog lights) with a few changes if you choose to. I...

Cyber White Fog Lamps 01-03 Ranger-WV

I bought these for my truck & never used them. They are for the 2001-2003 ford Ranger fog light valances and were purchased from "Blinglights" on eBay:

Re: LED Cluster Pics

Thank you again. That pretty well knocks that idea in the head. Back to incandescent's. Maybe I'll try Silverstar 194's. At least they are rated for 250 hours or so.

Re: LED Cluster Pics

I wish I could say I had as good luck with the LED's as you have Nigel, because i really like the light they produce. I wonder if a person could solder in a resistor on one leg of the bulb's leads to...

Re: LED Cluster Pics

"Dude", congratulations on your mechanical prowess in "ripping your dash apart". I'm particular & make sure I don't scratch, destroy, gouge, or otherwise damage anything in the process. I don't see a...

Re: LED Cluster Pics

Superbright's cool white leds don't produce any hot spots, but I can't get any reliability out of them. One in my Ranger is already flickering w/ less than 1000 miles since changing them, and more...

Re: Achilles' Heel?

Slave cylinders on the manual transmission models. They are internal & ruin everything in their path (clutch, pressure plate) when they fail. I'd still much rather deal w/ that than an automatic...

Re: Why manual

I enjoy driving and it's part of the experience. I don't want to be detached from it. I'll never purchase a vehicle w/ an automatic as long as I have a choice. When I'm shopping for a car or truck,...

Re: 2003 cluster LEDS

You need six (6) WLED-X5 for the speedometer cluster in Cool White and two (2) 74-xHP in Cool White for the HVAC panel. I initially used the 74-xHP3 bulbs for the HVAC panel and they were much too...

Re: Fog lights on a 2000

Are you just getting the oem lights and brackets, or are you getting an aftermarket fog light kit? You have to check to see if your truck is wired for factory fog lights in the cab as well (behind...

Re: 2003 cluster LEDS

That's correct. Get the WLED-X5 bulbs from Super Bright LED's. Plug & play and no hot/cold spots. I can't remember how many though, but I'll find out if you need the info. The ones for the HVAC are...

Re: Install of OEM fogs on a fog-less truck

The first thing you want to do is take the two screws holding the center bezel of your dash (radio surround) and see if you have that end of the fog light harness pre-wired. Remove the two hidden...

Re: Automatic door lock/unlock kit

Suit yourself. A1 is definitely a legitimate operation with as good as or better than OEM quality products. It makes no difference to me what you buy, I was just trying to save you grief. Good luck....

Re: why did you join us and how did u find out about us

I've known about RF, RPS, and TRS for years, but didn't even know this one existed. Not sure how I missed it actually.

Re: Removing stickers

I'd personally be scared of that. For pinstripe I'm sure it's fine, but to remove a larger decal like the "4x4" or "FX4" decal, I can imagine it picking up pieces of the decal and scratching/burning...

Re: Added some goodies to the XD and shotty

Good choices. I have an XDm in .40 S&W. It holds 16+1. My next pistol will be a Kimber Ultra Carry. The XDm is too large for concealed carry.

Re: Automatic door lock/unlock kit

I would still go w/ quality parts like MES equipment from A1, not the Chinese items from eBay. I've read too much bad stuff about what's being sold there, but that is certainly your choice.

Re: next truck.

Be damned if I'm subsidizing GM (government motors) through taxpayer money (paying them to build the vehicles) and then turning around and paying them again by buying one. When they get out from...
