I have read a lot of posts on here and elsewhere in regards to the parking brakes sticking on these trucks. It seems all years are affected (except the new ones with rear disk brakes).

Re: GAS Tank Straps

I grew up in Cedar Rapids, live in the Des Moines area now.

I was looking for a universal strapping to use, but decided to use what all the auto parts stores list for it, thou I didn't think it...

Re: GAS Tank Straps

Thanks Botta,

I realized the straps at AZ do fit, they don't have the tail-end strap that goes over the end of the tank like the picture I saw.

Jake, Who cares it is immaterial to the question...

Re: GAS Tank Straps

Could you share with me the gas tank straps you got at AutoZone?

The oem ones are like $200, I've been trying to think of a strapping/banding material I could put on it that would hold.

Was...

Re: GAS Tank Straps

I have to laugh, I bought a 95 in October and it has a ratchet strap holding the back side of the gas tank up. I thought the jerkoff I bought it from was the only one "brilliant" enough to pull that...
