I wish it were that simmple-They changed the pelnium in 97 or 98 now the whole thing has to be removed includig the dash.

have already tried both thermostat and hose connection-talking it to radiator shop tomorrow. He said he has had 2 Rangers with the same problem this week and it takes a high pressure flush to fix...

I know but it was doing this before they flushed it. Someone told me that it could be an air lock and I needed to bleed the heater core-ever heard of anything like that?

Not for sure if they flushed both ways or not-was done at Ford Dealership. Could that cause it to get hot at idle and cool down on road?
