I replaced the damned rear brakes from top to bottom. even the lines. Wish i had the flow so i coulda switched em out to disc. god i hate drum brakes.

Alright Gentleman, final answer, alt, was shot. put the new one in, connected all the widgits and whatchamacallits, and guess what, the battery light came on when i turned the key, (went off like it...

Yes it's my Second new battery, Sears was kind enough to replace the first. I'm starting to wonder if it's the regulator that's on the Alt, that or the guy at O'reilly's didn't do the test right....

Alright, Brand new battery, still no joy, it starts, but the battery level on the dash still sits really low. 12.6 with the truck off. 12.3 with it running. Not sure where the ground finally end's up...

So the altenator failed the first test, so just to make sure we tested it 2 more times and it passed. I now officially have no idea what's wrong with my truck.

I don't have a multimeter at the moment to try it that way, and i can't just run down to a parts store or dealership, as the nearest one is about 23 miles away. Yay farm life...

Battery light never went on, but i've had it happen in the past where the altenator went and that light didn't come on. as for the airbag light, that always comes on when i start it.

So going to do a 3 inch lift, not sure if just suspension or suspension and body, hopefully i can replace the engine, (looking for a v6) tranny, as well as wheels and tires.
