well the first thing i did was pull out the garbage and carpet from the cab, then welded the roof back on and tacked a couple buggy lights on front. then i headed for the field...... now i have cut...

i'd go with steel, 1/8" plate would be fine for what your doing, keeps some of the weight of the suspension. i would bring some 1/2" thick strap steel around 2" wide from your factory bumper mounting...

it all depends on what you want to do with it... winch, tow hooks, highway, rocks, plowing over trees..... let me know what your wanting to do and ill give you some suggestions.

puddles like you were going through wont hurt nothing, it is a real good idea to when you get done playing WASH it in side out side up side down side. i have seen so many trucks rot away from dirt...

new!?! not me, to expensive. i have never paid over $1000 for any rig, and there are only a couple over $500. i got my 94 4.0 5 speed 4x4 that was rolled, in trade for a horse trailer i had $100...

the best i ever got a 95 xlt with auto and 3.0 to do was 11.5 timing on my own. consistently got between that and 12 sec
