Concerning the possibility of installing stock cruise control on my 98 which hase none, this sounds like a big deal. Also, my truck is a 3.0 which will possibly have different throttle body...

Thanks for the reply. It sounds logical. My question is why do Explorers not operate the same way. Perhaps the explorer just goes to only recirculate but still allows water flow through the heater...

Years ago there used to be a cruise control that you could buy that really was just a throttle lock, but it was simple to install, just a box with switch on it and a cable that went down to the floor...

I have owned three Rangers, 96,97,and my present 98. With all these trucks, when the ac controls are on max ac, that is what you get. Max cold, with no temp control. You have to go to outside air...
