i have a 99 4.0 with what i think is a 5r55e went to get in it today and i had no reverse or drive. never slipped. just quit. ANY HELP APPRECIATED

im 27 had four rangers 87 2wd 2.3 5 speed, 92 2.3 5 speed, 99 4.0 4wd ex.cab and a 00.2.5 5 speed
i still have the 92 and 99
rangers are the best small trucks they have ever made

yes the trailer works on my 92 and both my 99 and 92 have the same harness adapter for trailer lights so thats what got me to thinking its the truck
