Re: '97 5-Speed - synthetic oil rather than ATF?
Good to know! I put in MerconV just to get it drivable. Shifts like a dream, but does have a little more sound (however it could just be that it's wearing in).
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR FEEDBACK!

'97 5-Speed - synthetic oil rather than ATF?
Just picked up my rebuilt transmission (for '97 4x4 M5OD) and the guy suggested using synthetic motor oil rather than ATF since it has brass syncros. Anyone heard of this? Thoughts?

I'm Back!! :)
Decided to sell my 2001 Ranger a few years ago (since it was difficult to keep three cars while jumping between apartments). Now that I have a house, it's time to bring 'er back!
Last week, I...

Re: Lets See Those Lights!
Hm... I'll look around for those light tabs. Sounds like that could work. Do they seem to help a lot? Looks like it from the pic.
And thanks!

Lets See Those Lights!
Hey all,
The high beams on my Ranger are starting to drive me insane, so I'm thinking of adding some driving lights in the grill. I've seen the driving lights behind the black plastic mesh, but...

Re: Front Valance
The whole this was super easy to install. The bumper is a simple swap - bolts right in. Fogs are really easy too, they just bolt on to the bumper and I hooked up the fogs to the parking lights.

Re: Deep Wedgewood Blue Rangers
Yeah, I've been offline for awhile. I bought myself a '90 VW Corrado which has been a complete headache!
Nice! What did you end up doing for a lift?
