97 Ranger 2.3L
Just found out I need to replace entire exhaust from engine back. Catalytic converter completly blocked. Looking at $1,300 from a local shop. Sound excessive? Any advice on lowering the costs?

Engine heats up fine. Doesn't seem to be a thermostat problem. Going to work on it saturday. I'll post the results from the core flush.
