That would depend on if you want the battery charged at the same time. keep in mind that the full current from an alternator is only available above about 2000 RPM. The inverter actually is running...

The trick is to make the wire (object) you are soldering melt the solder not the iron melting it...

I would have solderd and heatshrunk it, but that will hold for a while. Sorry but I install and repair two way radios for a living and have had crimp connectors fail.

Makes all the difference, more is wasting fuel (after all each 100LB extra is 5% worse fuel mileage Think I read that somewhere) and 4.10 locker in the back and posi in front, Real studded snow...

two 4 ohm speakers in parallel would be 2 ohms for a load the amp will produce 500 watts at that impedance (that would be both speaker + leads and - leads tied together), assuming 90% efficiency you...

I carry 2 X 40 LB sacks of sand... (sand is best for possible emergencies) and cheat with 4wd

Probably the first RF amplifier in the am receiver circuit has been blown. This can be caused by static electricity generated by the vehicle passing through the air.
It happens all the time....

Whatever, the query was "what is the maximum" and the maximum is about 1500 watts... now the reality is more like 500 which is more than sufficient for a battery charger for a portable drill or...

it works on mine with 100 amp alternator, however keep in mind that the duty cycle is relatively low on the order of 40-50%. The most I would ever even consider safe to run is perhaps 1000 watts...

1500 watts out at 120 volts is 8.9 amps on the 120 side accounting for losses (heat ect) that works out to 80 -100 amps on the 12 volt side so I would say 1500 watts would be about the max. Keep in...

look at the ignition switch there should be a wire there with switched voltage, use a relay to switch a battery line
