Are you wired direct to the battery? Does the static change with the engine rpm? The Ranger fuel pump causes all kinds of noise. do you have the noise with the engine off? with truck off, turn radio...

Final update - there were concerns posted about heat buildup due to the way the amp is mounted. I have experienced no problems at all and the system works great.

I added them to my truck, I'm not 400 lbs but I am disabled, it makes it easier to get in and out. Plus I have a very short wife so it makes it easier for her too.
