Re: ranger vs f150

"Which is fine, although you can see how your 2nd statement contradicts this right? "

It is in relation to....
A "big" truck is larger than a smaller truck in a statement
because that is a...

Huum I must have pressed the button.....
Too many comments to cover all of them, but....
Yes Rangers are made elsewhere in other countries, but that's

Re: rangers are no longer being made

Regardless of the specs of the "Global" Ranger or whatever
Ford names it, that new truck, or what appears to be a truck
is NO Ranger and not even of the same blood lines!

Now with everyone...

Re: ranger vs f150

That's the way I see it!

However to be fair there are instances, specifically in
racing and off roading where ABS, even disc brakes
would be a hindrance. In dirt racing you want the
back...

Re: ranger vs f150

Still a moot point...
Regardless to the experience, no one wishes to
have to experience anything negative. That
includes brakes of all types, when they don't stop
an accident from happening or...

Re: ranger vs f150

"Loads of people like drum brakes though. That is the truth. Drum brakes do wear out a lot less, then the actual disc. The bad thing with drums was that the springs and crap like that wore out, and...

Re: Sometimes people on FRF are right

Me's thinks that lady cop had the hots for you! ;)
If it works, sweet talking, then I don't blame
anyone for trying. Just for myself I don't expect
it, as I don't hold much by the way of...

My 2011 Ranger: 4 door super cab, 4wd, xlt package...
etc. Has everything "BUT" cd changer, chrome package,
bed liner, remote start. (Maybe one other thing I'm forgetting?)
Anyhow the sticker...

Re: ranger vs f150

Ask Darkstar_420 to explain it. He was the one that said
he knew of NO Rangers being used as fleet vehicles in
Canada. He says he's from Canada too! I'm not saying, in
any way that Rangers are...

Re: ranger vs f150

I could understand the F 150's n Canada, but not
for most of the US. I do know of companies that use
Rangers as their fleet trucks.

Drum brakes last longer because they are NOT as
efficient...

Re: ranger vs f150

F 150 is just to dang big...PERIOD!
Regardless to mpg it's still big!
And no way around it, regardless to mpg, the F 150 will
cost more to operate than a Ranger.

I don't want a BIG truck, I...

Re: Buh-bye, Sport Trac

My wife has a 2010 Escape.
She wanted that instead of the Explorer cuz she thought the
Explorer was too big and was higher priced for similar
equipped vehicles. I kind'of liked the Escape before...

Re: Rear Bumper Ball Hitch

My 02 didn't have it....
But then again you can't expect to haul 4000 lbs in
such a way either...

It's not useless by any means. Just got to be careful.

Re: Rear Bumper Ball Hitch

That's the safe bet. If you got the money, definitely
put it on.. But don't be scared to use the bumper
hitch in the meantime.

Cheers,

lol... Considering I was on my third bumber, I guess luck really was with me.

Seriously, I've had 3 bumpers on my 02 and not once was it due to weight. Not once was it even the trucks fault or...

Re: Rear Bumper Ball Hitch

I only had a bumper ball hitch on my 02 and it worked fine
for light towing. I have towed up to around 3000 lbs with it
with nary a problem. I have a 12x5' trailer that I have towed
big mowers...

Done!
However you left out a couple details.
Comparing buying a F-150 you stated fuel
economy and pricing. However to me and others
SIZE would be a big or bigger factor...

Concerning the...

Thx John,
