I'm still having the same issue. I got frustrated and bought an Acura RSX Type-S over the weekend. I'm keeping the ranger so I'll figure it out eventually.

When you say TPD to you mean the throttle positioning sensor? If so, I've already replace that as well as the IAC, MAF, EGR, Plugs, and Wires.

I just retested the compression and all cylinders...

I think I got about 11 Ohms when metering out my working IAC when disconnected. Also, your engine will stall if a working IAC is unplugged while idling. Hope this helps.

I did a compression test.

Cylinder 1 - 180 psi
Cylinder 2 - 180 psi
Cylinder 3 - 180 psi
Cylinder 4 - 150 psi

So I probably have a bad valve on cylinder 4 but why do I have a misfire code...

Ok, so I just replaced the MAF. No difference, it still won't idle correctly. The idle does seem like it smooths out more quickly. Maybe because its a warm today?

I'm grasping for straws at this...

I found that I did have a bad intake gasket, which I replaced. It didn't help the problem so I tried replacing the IAC valve on a whim, that didn't help either.

I'm at a loss.

No it does not ping. I have noticed that when I first start the engine it idles very smoothly. It only runs rough after returning to idle after driving or revving the engine.

Using my scan tool I noticed that the O2 sensor after the cat doesn't register any volts until after the engine is warmed up and even then the values are way lower than the sensor in the exhaust...

The EGR valve should hold a vacuum when applied by a handheld pump.

I have checked for a vacuum leak using starter fluid. Could that same test check the gaskets?

I just put a vacuum tester on the EGR valve and it won't hold any pressure. I think I should replace...
