Yeah the dash lights work. It looks like I might have a corroded wiring harness in the back under the rear bumper.

Thanks! If I lost fuse 7 in the main distribution box under the good, wouldn't I have lost other lights or functions? The front yellow lights do work. Are they on fuse 3 inside?

I didn't look there but I could see the broken blend door after cut a hole underneath the dashboard, as described in the heater treater instructions.

Yes, I bought and installed a heater treater and that fixed it. I did have a broken blend door.

It blows hot in all modes so I don't think its the ac. I took off the blend door actuator in the glove box and it feels like the blend door hinge is broken. I am going to get a heatertreater.net kit...

I have the same problem -- where is the Canister Purge Solenoid/Flow Sensor so I can see how the hoses look? A photo or diagram would be especially helpful. I have a 96 Ranger with a 4L V6.

I just acquired a high mileage 1996 Ranger and a lot of the time, it only blows hot air thru the vents, regardless of the temperature setting or the AC setting. Where would be the best place to start...

Yeah after I posted went back and found it there. I thought it might be easier to go at it the top with a long extension on my socket wrench. I got loosen the bolt first - Its pretty rusted on....
