So bit of an update (for those who might be following). Changed the injector to number 3 and the misfire is still at 6. Checked all intake gaskets and theyre all still very usable. Now moving to hard...

This is engine number two for this ranger. Luckily its covered for piston rings etc... I just hope it isnt a new engine since this one is only 5 years old.

So did the compression test and cylinder 6 is at 120 while 4 and 5 are between 150-170. My mechanic guy ( been doing this for 30+ years) says that should not create a misfire. Checked for a vac leak...

Yes i used motorcraft plugs. P0306 code keeps coming up. Fuel pressure is good. The engine is only 5 years old so I wouldnt think its a head gasket. Is there an easier way to check the injector?...

The slave is only 6 months old. So hopefully I dont need to do that. I can only find a tranny for 800 and the clutch isnt that expensive so i dont mind doing that. Ill look into it tomorrow more....

Replaced the coolant bleeder/ temp sensor unit because the oe blew in half. Engine ran normal and at normal temp then over hested 20 minutes down the road and won't turn over. Having a problem...
