Re: electrically overwhelmed
Well, not much to update. I installed new cruise control switches, and they light up with the headlights. But still no actual CC or horn. Maybe this week I'll get lucky and find the faulty...

Re: electrically overwhelmed
Woohooo! I tore into the dash late last night. Removed the stereo bezel, unplugged the gem and 4x4 relays. Started running wires. 4th wire I checked was the main acc into the gem. PO had...

I verified that I can not select 1st gear with the shifter? I have been taking off in second and then selecting OD. What could prevent the shifter from going into 1st?
Still running wires. ...

Re: Electrical Problem
Did you ever find the solution for these electrical problems? I have been looking everywhere for a likely cause of these seemingly unrelated bugs!

Re: 4R44E Shifting Issues
Ok, I cleared the codes, drove the truck for about 5 miles, re-read the codes. Only one was P0340, camshaft position sensor A circuit (bank 1 or single sensor). No voltage to the sensor. I may...

Re: 4R44E Shifting Issues
It has a new sensor on it, but it could be bad from the store? The speedo seems to work fine though? I will pull the steering column down and try to check all the connectors for voltage. I noticed...

Howdy All
I found the forum while searching for answers to my 1999 3.0 4x4 flex standard cab conundrum! I bought the truck on a whim, and it is riddled with electrical gremlins. Only has 90K on the clock,...
