Re: Very Bad Bucking V6!
I had a very similar problem. It was the Camshaft Synchronizer. I don't know if there is a way to test it without having some type of storage oscilloscope.

Re: Only Two Wires on Third Brake Light/Cargo Light Harness
All of the brake light kits I have seen come with 3 wire. 1 wire is ground. 1 wire is for the brake (Red) light. 1 wire is for bed (clear) light. You can chose to only wire the red backup light...

It's debatable if regular cabs would sell or not but you will never see them made again thanks to our government. Basically the 2012 government regulation say that size/mpg combination will not be...

Re: PCV valve hose
what I did was to leave the existing plastic piece in the intake and attach the new PCV and boot to that. So cut the zip tie and then you can separate the two. Zip tie back together.

I find changing the oil filter quite easy. I get at it from the top where I think there is plenty of room. Then there is that plastic/rubber funnel looking thing that catches all the oil from the...

You should be fine. The first time I changed hubs was on my '02 4x4 Ranger. It was fairly easy. The size of your socket/wrench might make a difference. It's really tight to get them in their on...

I'm just going to leave it that way for now. It will be too expensive to have a mechanic do what is needed to get at it.

I did all this on my '02 Edge 3.0. From the manual I have-
Front: 80W90
Rear: 80W90
supposed to add some friction modifier but I did not bother with that.

Re: Advice for a cargo light?
Take off your 3rd brake light and check the wiring first.
I have an '02 Edge. There is only wiring for the brake light up there. On each side it's just dead space. No sockets, no wiring.
