Re: Overheating - can't find problem

I should hace thought of this a while back..... Bypass your heater at the firewall and see what happens. Just wondering if your heater core is "mostly" not working properly.

Re: Davis Unified 10mm spark wires - Better?

LOL - 2nd paragraph;last sentence.... I had a buddy back in the early 80's who would put super unleaded in his '68 Pontiac Tempest (engine needed leaded gasoline) and would swear he could hear engine...

Ok, it's not a frozen compressor. I disconnected the low pressure switch while compressor was running, crossed my fingers, and it stopped working. It appears low pressure switch has gone bad. I hope...

Re: 2000 Ford Ranger Supercab 2wd 3.0l 5speed mpg's

if you have 4.10 gears of lower (gasp) you will get lousy mileage for the most part. If you have 3.55 or higher, you will loose torque, but will get good mileage and engine's rpm will be lower.

Re: Typical RPM at highway speeds?

4.10 gears is main reason for high rpm's on my vehicle. The vehicles with low rpm's while going 70 mph is because they have 3.55 or even higher gears.

Re: 2005 Ranger blowing starter fuse (yellow #5)

the starter relay seems to be working fine. I bought a short circuit detector, and I'm getting a "read" on the wires that are attached to the starter motor. The three starter wires are bundled and...

Re: Overheating - can't find problem

I don't know how long you've had your truck so its hard to know much w/o the history of repairs i.e. water pump replaced; serpentine belt etc.

As to your collapsed hose, sometimes a lower...

Re: Needs advice 4.0 only getting 11 mpg any suggestions?

Re: Fan clutch-How to remove from water pump pulley?

Re: Exhaust system

flowmaster has the 60 series - supposedly it is excellent for 6cyl engines; loud enough outside and quiet inside. They have a video of an import running with 60 series, but it is hard to judge.
