I have since gone to bed bath and beyond a got a gel pad. Seems to work just fine. I'm in the truck a lot delivering for Papa Johns

Valve cover gasket shortcut?
Much to my dismay, I noticed a significant amount of oil in the spark plug wells of my newly acquired 2004 2.3 L when I was changing plugs and wires. Had the same problem w/ my 03 but never wanted to...

Actually I checked the fluid. Color is good and does not smell burnt. I too felt it was high for a fluid change. At this point the hard shifting is in 3rd gear and I'm just trying to take it easy on...

It might just be my old boney butt, but has anybody else noticed how hard these seats are after a 3 hr trip?

Auto tranny shifting hard/flush?
New to me 04 2.3 L with 157 k, auto tranny and Shifting hard occasionally. Thought I would have the tranny flushed and filled but local shop wants 225 and w filter change 450! That seems very high...

2.3 04 just bought
Hi everyone. Got my hands on an 04 4 cyl w auto w 157 k. Had an 03 and a 99 Mazda B 4 cyl. Can't believe how much peppier the 04 is! After I get the salvage thing sorted with the idiot Mo Highway...
