i think that's the product of 'a lesson learned' possibly. on the 97-03 F-150 they are known for the rockers rusting. they rot from the inside out. even though they appear to be 'closed/sealed' crap...

our trucks are nearly identical! i bought mine in maryland with 63K on the clock nearly 4 years ago. very nice find, yours is by far in nicer shape than mine. the p.o. of my truck definitely ran it...

i forgot to make mention of notching the bezel for the transmission shifter too. 2nd gear in my truck took the most trimming. good work though!! i never gave it a thought to put the transfer case...

keep us posted with progress on the body lift!! you dont realize how much of a difference it makes until you park next to a stock truck.
the transfer case shifter isnt horrible, just time consuming...
