Problem solved! may help some one. I looked into where the wire went fron the wiring harness and it goes to the pcm or eec. Under the cover for the wiring harness at the pcm is where the problem was....

I have this problem now on my 98 xlt ext cab 3.0.. The check engine light will not come on at start up. I removed the instrument cluster yesterday and light was good as well as path on circuit board...

Check Engine light will not come on. Suggestions please! 98 Ford rangerxlt ext cab 4x4 3.0 5 sp manual. I pulled the instrument cluster and toned out the bulb, the bulb holder, and the number 5 and 4...
