Re: Classic Cranks-But-No-Start problem

Welp turns out the timing chain broke, engine is toast. $6500 for a new engine, $4500 for a used one with 118k miles on it already. If interested in buying it as a project, I posted it on the...

Re: Classic Cranks-But-No-Start problem

Found it. Very back of the fuel rail on the passenger side. Hidden under some vacuum lines.

Tried OBD II code reader again, still no codes.

Tested the fuel pressure. When turning the key...

Re: Classic Cranks-But-No-Start problem

No codes thrown which I thought was weird. I'll go back out and re check. I hear the clicking of the fuel pump relay and I hear the high-pitch whirring of the fuel pump kicking on when I turn the...

Re: Which shocks to get?

I sense a bit of sarcasm there lol. And when I say she won't be around much longer I mean that she's getting pretty old and more and more things are starting to fail. Which for me is fine cuz I'll...

Re: Which shocks to get?

Yeah I see the $14 economy ones and I'm all for being economical, but it looks like you hit one pothole and they're done lol. Racho's it is. They'll definitely stand out on the undercarriage too...

Re: Need some help/suggestions on upgrading/fixing my ranger

What nelbur said. 99% sure tires out of balance would cause the vibration issue. Also if you only know .01% about fixing cars, might wanna start a little smaller than an engine or tranny swap lol

Re: Steering Wheel Vibration at High Speeds

Re: Steering Wheel Vibration at High Speeds

Fair enough. The tires are coming due for a replacement anyways, so I wouldn't be surprised if that's the problem. I just thought the timing was weird that as soon as i fix the sway bar links I...

Re: P0171 and intermittent P0174

Might wanna take it to an auto shop and let them run the check with an OBD-II scanner. I thought the Torque app would be able to do that, but it sounds like yours is somewhat messing up and giving...

Just from doing about 10 minutes of research, the purge valve is located in front of the battery between the battery and the horn, somewhere in that area.

Most rewarding thing about working on the Ranger: Getting less and less codes as you fix problems! Good luck man, let us know what happens!
