Not positive but I'd guess it enables your wheel to lock in place after turning it so far. The auto gear shift would be able to do the same. Again this is just a thought.

If I try I can manage 22-24 same as everyone but 15-17 is more realistic for me. 3.73s with big tires/4x4ext cab doesn't help.

x2 on throwing rocks, you'll hear rocks coming out till about 45mph. 20k on mine and I still got the little knobbies on the tire. Not real loud at highway speeds either. I'm happy with them!

I have to give mine a extra little shove to make sure it latches or when I take off I hear it plop down. Haven't really looked into it though.
