Re: 2003 Ranger FX4 5 speed Twin Sticks

I used the Red FX4 as a donor vehicle to repair my Grey FX4 that was in an accident in Jan of 2022.

Re: 2003 Ranger FX4 5 speed Twin Sticks

I'm ready to start parting out my 2003 Ranger FX4 Level II Twin Sticks.

If anyone needs any parts let me know soon as I'm looking to move it off my lot by spring.

Re: 2003 Ranger FX4 5 speed Twin Sticks

My Ranger FX4 Level II is still sitting at the back of my lot under a tarp. I just can't bring myself to junk it and figure I can use it for parts if needed. I bought another Grey FX4 Level II with...

Re: 2003 Ranger FX4 5 speed Twin Sticks

I already bought another 2003 FX4 Level II with Twin Sticks. It doesn't need any parts from the other truck (although I'm going to swap wheels, the new one has black plastidip rims, which I hate).

Re: 2003 Ranger FX4 5 speed Twin Sticks

I still have the truck. Trying to decide what to do with it. What did you have in mind? I'd really like to see it rebuilt or at least used to rebuild another FX4 Twin Stick.

Re: Power mirrors

If both mirrors have stopped working and the fuse is good, check the control switch, make sure you have power at the switch.

Re: 2003 Ranger FX4 5 speed Twin Sticks

So what would the transfer case / axle be worth? I'm just trying to figure out if I should part it out or keep it as a project.

2003 Ranger FX4 5 speed Twin Sticks

I rolled my Ranger last winter and have been holding on to it since a twin stick Ranger is so rare (less then 8,000 built).

I may have found another one I'd like to buy but then would be left...

Re: Broken unknown cord

It looks like an in-line fuse to me. Would have to be something that draws a lot of power from the looks of it. Does it (or did it) have a stereo amp installed?

If it still starts and seems to...

Re: Ford Ranger Returning in 2019

As I heard it in the halls of FoMoCo: The Ranger was discontinued in NA due to declining sales. The marketing guys figured Ranger owners bought the Ranger due to the better fuel economy. Since the...

Re: Long time Ranger owner, new to FRF!

I've heard the 2002 FX4 Off Road and the 2003 FX4 Level II with the 5 speed manual transmission AND manual transfer case "Twin Sticks" is the Unicorn or Holy Grail of Ford Rangers.

Does anyone...

Re: What is the dumbest thing you have ever done in your ranger?

I have no idea how fast the train was going. My guess would be no faster then 15MPH. It stopped about 100yds from the road. If I remember correctly it was just the engine, no cars. It was not...

Re: What is the dumbest thing you have ever done in your ranger?

If you really must know:

It was just after noon on a week day. I was going to pick up some parts for work. Just as I turned onto the road from the parking lot the sun came right at me thru a...

Re: What do you think of these?.......

I just bought a 2003 Ranger XLT FX4 Level II 4x4 for $5,700 with 120,000 miles on it. The guy threw in a set of winter tyres, a bed cap and a tool box, all of which I plan to sell for around $400. ...

Re: Long time Ranger owner, new to FRF!

There were only 2985 Bricklins ever produced between 1974 & 1976. Only around 1,500 exist today. Mine is #1600 with almost 34,000 original miles.

Re: Ford Ranger Returning in 2019

The new Ranger will be a Crew Cab 4 door and much bigger than the Ranger of old. Personally I have driven the new Ranger and don't care for it. It is too big for my taste. It does look nice but I...

Re: How many miles on all the 4.0L SOHC trucks out there? 01+

My '02 Ranger XLT 4x4 Off Road 4.0L had 286,XXX miles on it when I 'T' boned myself sliding sideways into an MDOT van on an icy freeway in Feb 2015! I sold the truck STILL RUNNIG and DRIVING for...
