Re: Does anyone know the weight of the fiberglass Stepside bed on a 2001 4x4?

It is still factory. This was bought new by my father in 2000. It only has 78,000 miles on it, but if they are not too expensive it may be worthwhile

Does anyone know the weight of the fiberglass Stepside bed on a 2001 4x4?

I am planning to remove the bed to put new rear spring scales and brackets on. I was also planning to undercoat the bottom of the bed and the frame rails. I am trying to figure out how many people I...

Re: Brake line question

I am possibly think of giving it another shot after it is fixed, but the Subaru is staying for sure. I still think that they are made pretty shabby, but I need a truck, junky or not.

Re: Brake line question

The brand is a large problem. I understand some will be great and live a long happy life, but if you search overall, most American brands are horrible for reliability. I have had 40 plus cars in my...

Re: Brake line question

I have a 2012 flex that I bought new. I have put more money into that flex since 2012 than my 1998 Subaru. I am pretty sure I will not be buying another Ford again. It's not the trouble it's that...

Brake line question

It looks like a local garage is going to handle it. Since it was originally my father's truck, he decided to have it fixed there. Then it's of for sale. He had brake line work done when he had it and...

Re: Brake line question

Is there a reason the factory line is ridged the way it is?. I have not seen one like that before

Brake line question

In typical Ford fashion, fix one thing and another fails. The new issue is a brake line question. There is a steel line that runs the passenger frame rail to the rear where there is a small bend and...

Re: Another spark plug question.

The course I chose was top replace with exactly what the truck came with new. I bought six new AGSF34FP double platinum plugs and re gapped them. I made myself a gap tool that would not damage the...

Re: 2001 running boards and brackets

These are still available. I looked into some shipping options and it is just too expensive.

Re: Another spark plug question.

I have plenty of experience and always check gap when I get plugs. It is careless to not check them, that was not my question. The platinum and Iridium are very specific about not touching or...

Another spark plug question.

2001 running boards and brackets

I pulled these of my truck to re paint and decided I like the truck without them. I painted the brackets with a black rust inhibitor paint and I painted the running boards with bed liner paint. Some...
