Update! Found a little nozzle sticking off the carburetor, plugged it with a rubber cap & it's back to idling and as good as new! Thanks for the helpful information

I think you have a point... I had the solenoid go bad & it was easier to change the whole starter...

Doubt it's carb because it runs perfectly wide open,no miss or sputtering & all vacuum lines are good... Thanks for the replies!!

All of a sudden it won't idle It runs if I'm in the throttle but when I downshift it dies instead of idling. Changed fuel filter any ideas appreciated! Thanks

I hate to bear bad news but nice & rats will chew through tape in a few seconds!! They can actually chew through concrete!! I breed rats and I know how hard they are to contain! Lol just hate to see...

Ya as long as u make a leak proof seal!! U can't get the broke piece out of the rubber grommet and stick the plastic line in it right??

Looks like some type of positive lead off your alternator. But not sure! Looks important like it wouldn't start after it broke.. does it?? Start?
