I've been told by Ford that its hub centric. and I've seen the center hole of the stock wheel fits and rests right on the hub bore without bolting it down.

Sorry man, but that's not the case. My stock wheels are absolutely hub centric. I've seen it with my own eyes.

I've got an '08 ranger and I just put on American Racing wheels.
I'm now experiencing vibrations at 60mph.
I had them balanced and installed by this guy, I swapped everything over (tires, tpm's)...

It's a good point, my only problem is that I don't really trust my mechanic because the first thing he did wrong was let me drive away from his shop with my wheels loose. And doesn't see to be much...

The wheels and tires we're balanced when they were installed, and the factory wheels are indeed hub centric, So I don't know if what your telling me is correct.

I just put american racing wheels on my 08 2wd and theres slight vibration goin on. So I ordered the hub centric rings. I hope they solve the issue.

I just got back from getting American Racing Wheels put on and the mechanic pointed out to me that the A.M. wheels are not "Center Centric", but they are "Lug Centric". Needless to say, the car rides...

well, from what I understand, and what I think makes the most sense is 5100's are adjustable and will fit trucks that have a lift..
HD's are non-adjustable, and can't be used on trucks with a lift...

balancing weights , clip vs adhesive

Has anyone used balancing weights that are glued on the inside of the wheel to hide the weight and protect wheel finish?? I'm curious how strong the ahesive is compared to the clip-on weights..

The Heavy Duty.. Guy on the phone at bilstein said nothing bout the 5100's.. I think the only difference is that you can't adjust HD's, but I don't need that feature...?
