Re: Rough idle caused by CPS?

Truck was due for a valve job anyway....they found that one of the valves had recessed so far that it could not be repaired. So a 'new' head is on its way. It remains to be seen but I and others...

Re: Rough idle caused by CPS?

1. Yes
2. High mileage truck, no idea of prior maintenance
3. No CEL
4. No

It runs OK at higher RPM, only issue is at idle. I thought the question was simple enough.

Rough idle caused by CPS?

None of the suggested threads tell me what I want to know:

would a slight misalignment of the cam position sensor cause a rough idle? And I mean ROUGH! It is rough enough that I shift into...

Blinkity blink lights!

Yes, I did a search first and found some info that MIGHT help me but it is dark out there and I would like to confirm what I suspect is going on so I can work on it tomorrow in the daylight.

I...

Re: What kind of hood do I have?

Thanks for all the input. I'm not aware of what body parts the Ranger and Mazda might share but this is definitely an aluminum hood and as near as I can tell, is the original.

Re: Steering wheel hub

No replies? Guess why: I researched the heck out of this very topic for my '02 and could not find any that would work, even with a (non-available) adapter.

Re: '60/40 Mod'

Thanks. So there is no welding or fabricating involved? (I'm not a welder but can fabricate stuff from stuff.)

Re: Custom Center Console Build

I did a search and can't find anything on the 60/40 mod. I'm interested in building a console such as yours but need to know more about the mod.

'60/40 Mod'

I've seen reference to this, and I know what it is, but I can't find a technical description by searching. I don't mind the seats I have but would like to build a custom center console (nice one on...

Re: Cargo shelf

I'm curious as well. My seats are still there but wouldn't take long to remedy that! For now I just 'hide' my little hydraulic jack and lug wrench behind the passenger side seat, thrown everything...

Re: Map lights in rear view mirror

Been away....

Yeah, I realize it is hard to tell where it came from; my original question was "were there any stock Ranger/Mazda mirrors with map lights?"

I don't really care where it came...

What kind of hood do I have?

Funny thread title? Yes, but so is my hood! The truck was seriously wrecked some time back (by a DPO) and I know the hood, LF fender and door were replaced. But I'm stripping the hood of 3 or 4...

Map lights in rear view mirror

I found a thread from 2014 but it didn't answer my question; not well anyway.

My B3000 DS has a mirror with two map lights, no wiring. The 2014 thread showed one from a GM vehicle but it is...

Re: Steering Wheel Swap Guide

It should be noted that some, if not all, Pick 'n' Pulls will no longer sell a complete steering wheel with attached air bag. A liability issue brought on by the air bag recall fiasco.

Re: Mustang Dome Light, Explorer OHC

What years are those Mustang lights supposed to fit? I pulled one today but found out that my 2002 B3000 is TOTALLY different; I thought it was supposed to be a 'plug and play.'

Re: Seats that fit in the Ranger

I have poured over this thread and I hope I know the answer to my question even though I don't see mention here: ( I guess it could be somewhere in the 37 pages but I didn't see it....)

Will the...

Re: Cleaning fuel tank

rejuvenating an old thread....

I lifted the bed to get to my fuel tank and after seeing how the hoses and lines attach to the fuel pump housing, I'm glad I did. I don't think there would be much...

Changed the CMS but now what??

Before someone tells me to do a search, I've done it and didn't find an answer to my question, just lots of 'how to's' that aren't helping me.

My 2002 B3000 3.0 has 145k on it and I've been...

Re: Fuel guage

So I lifted the bed and removed the old sending unit/fuel pump. If I can attach a couple photos, they are better than explaining what I found. At any rate, a couple hints to anyone thinking of R&R...

Speedometer went nuts!

Here's the story, short and sweet:

Today I put a new crankshaft position sensor on my 2002 B3000. Speedometer was fine before but now sitting still, it bounces up to 15 mph or so and back down...

Fuel guage

Yeah, I know, there have been lots of fuel gauge posts and I've read them but they are all OLD, years OLD. So I'm starting a fresh one.

My '02 B3000 fuel gauge shows full + all the time, has...

Re: 2003 Mazda B3000 3.0

I didn't get the hole by hole numbers but my mechanic (I haven't run my own test, will do one of these days) told me the high ones were about 150 and the low ones 120. The relative compression...

Re: 2003 Mazda B3000 3.0

Late update:
The issue with my 3000 was clogged cat converters! I also have relative low compression in two holes, #2 and #4 but not too bad. The big problem was not breathing! Went from 13 mpg...
