Re: Wheel swap for 2000 Ford Ranger
Why did you have to hunt for cheap 15" pulloffs? And what has changed now? I'd think it would be harder to find cheap 17" pulloffs.

LMC truck has chrome covers in that style that go on like hubcaps. Might be a cheaper alternative to replacement.

Re: Towing a pop up
I've pulled a 600lb four wheeler on a bumper for thousands of miles with no issues. With that said, at 1200lb, I'd definitely be looking for a hitch for that much weight. If you don't want to spend...

Truck is looking good. Looks like you've been putting a lot of time and energy into it. I like what you did with the air box. So many times, I've seen people remove it and mount a big cone filter...

Re: Anyone Have These Or Similar Step Bars?
I have the iboard step bars on my 04. I really like the look of them and the fact that they are aluminum rather than steel. Major issue with the brackets, though. For the 2 door ext cab, the brackets...

Re: hitch
I wouldn't even buy a new one. Go to a junk yard and grab one. It's not like wear and tare on a hitch is an issue. If you like, a can of spray paint can have it looking like new.

Re: Special snowflake ranger. (2001 coil suspension with torsion rotors.)
I'd try advance auto parts first. You can order online and usually find coupon codes for 30% off your order. They list 11.28" front rotors with 4 wheel abs for $52.99 each. Add $20 - $30 for brake...

Re: Special snowflake ranger. (2001 coil suspension with torsion rotors.)
Yup, the ABS will be a problem. If you look at the pictures of the two sets or rotors you linked, on the set you ordered, you can see the ring on the inside of the back of the rotor. This ring is...

get the bar and the correct brackets and bolt it on. If you're buying one new, not a problem. If you're looking to purchase one used from a different type of vehicle, I suspect you'll need to...

I'd say the late 80's GT ranger is rare. But, I doubt there has ever been or ever will be a truly collectible ranger.

Won't work. The needle is still under tension when it's resting on the peg at 0. Without the needle in place, the post will rotate back past 0. I know this is resurrecting an old post that I found...

I've never heard of those tires but suspect they were probably the cheapest ones he could find. But, even if they are cheap tires, if the tread is good and and all four wheels are in decent shape,...

The camper top alone will not add enough weight to require a heavier shock. Just put one on mine and there is minimal, if any, change in ride quality.
