Anyone hear windage during a shift?

I'm going out on a limb and assuming that at first glance, this sounds nuts.

When I step on the clutch to shift, as the rpms come back down, I can hear a small whine that sounds like a turbine...

Re: 2000 Ranger 2.5 four cylinder RUNNING ROUGH need help! :(

I had a bad EGR valve, and it caused a rough idle in my truck. I also had a rotted EGR tube. Check the vacuum lines to the EGR and the EGR pipe that runs from the exhaust manifold.

If it needs replacing, is there a name for this line? Or are vacuum lines generic and you just get a piece of it the length that...

Re: A/C wiring diagram

Guys, just found this thread, and I'm trying to do the same troubleshooting.

Where are the LP and HP switches for the compressor?

I haven't worked on AC systems before, and the Haynes...

Re: A/C troubleshooting

I finally got a chance to look at this a few weeks ago, and I didn't have any luck. I checked fuses #25 and #56a under the hood, and didn't have any luck. The fuse box cover shows where each is...

Re: How do you get the clutch to bleed?

I had issues with my clutch as well. I was bleeding it and ran it dry by accident. Because of the steep angle on the master, I've found that the only way to get the air out is to disconnect at the...

No problem. Thanks for checking. Was worth a shot. So far, not much interest. Maybe towards fall.

Re: 2004 FX4 4.0 V6, 85k

For 10-5, I'll drive it down to NC and take the bus back. Serious, no joke. I'll drive as far as Florida.

Re: 2004 FX4 4.0 V6, 85k

Yeah, I love the truck. I just don't think I can afford to keep it. Unless my employment issues suddenly take a turn for the better, I need to get rid of it by September.

2004 FX4 4.0 V6, 85k

I bought this truck in March, and I got laid off in May. So now I'm trying to sell it before I'm in a really tough spot. It's a great truck, and I really like it. I haven't done anything to it...

Re: Bleeding clutch SNAFU

While this may be true, I question the practicality... :o

I managed to pull the reservoir and master out, bleed it out just like the Perfection clutch video shows, and put it back in.

I was...

Re: Bleeding clutch SNAFU

How did you pry the pushrod out of the master? Does it twist to lock in, or is there an e-clip or something that releases it? I don't want to break anything, and it's hard to see what's holding it...

Re: Bleeding clutch SNAFU

I'm not really sure how you can bleed the master while it's installed. How do you remove the pushrod?

Re: Bleeding clutch SNAFU

I'll go back and try it on my '99 Ranger and see if I can get the...

Re: Bleeding clutch SNAFU

Hey sleeperrx7, thanks for the feedback. I was doing this by myself, so I connected a drain line to the bleeder screw, and pumped the pedal slowly with my hand. I've never been able to get a helper...

Re: Bleeding clutch SNAFU

Update: Someone let me borrow an injector pump to back-bleed the system. So I hooked it up, cracked the bleeder screw, and sure enough it pushed the fluid back up into the reservoir. I was getting...

Re: Slave cylinder replacement

It's not black, but it is discolored. I wouldn't call it sediment, but there was a small amount of residue in the fluid. You could tell it was dirty, but not black. I was going to bleed it last...
