Strange Temp Gage problem
2000 Extended cab 3.0l Flex fuel 82000 miles
From a cold start, temp reaches normal mid gage, then about 5 minutes later, the temp gage moves up to the top, check gage lite comes on, and about 5...

I have the same problem as you.
The seal is one piece, and requires the Transmission to be dropped, Flywheel removal, and seal pulled out the rear.
In checking around, the possible cures start...

It is located at the right rear of the engine. As looking at the engine from the front. Will have one medium sized hose connected.
