Well i finally figured out what the noise was... It wasnt lifter tap like ithought. It was actually wrist pin knock, which sounds very similair.

The way i found out was because... On saturday...

The 3.0 got hydraulic roller lifters in 91.... And i believe i stated that i hear the noise coming from the lower intake manifold if i use a screwdriver as a stethoscope not the valve covers. Also...

I never did anything to the heads. And there is no lash adjustment for these. They're none adjustable.

I notice my rocker arms have a little side to side wiggle. You almost cant even see it move. But can feel it. Went to a junkyard today and noticed the rockers on a 3.0 taurus were tight with no side...

I'll check it out. Last time i had the motor apart i felt all the rockers and checked to see if any had any wiggle to them and they seemed ok. But i'll recheck just to make sure. And ok i'll check...
