Re: heater hose/water pump questions

Plumbing looks okay. I'd check the function of the heater control valve to make sure heater core gets flow when it should, or delete it all together.(personal choice). Also, read up on burping the...

Re: Get better mpg with A/T tires

With the bigger tires, unless you recalibrate your speedometer, will make you travel faster and farther than what your speedometer and odometer are telling you. To see what I mean, if you have an...

Re: Rattle Sound around 3000 RPM

What you are describing kind of sounds like what I had when it was the front pump in the trans.

Re: No heat priblem 09 ranger

I will assume you have a basic working knowledge of automotive engines. First thing I would do is check the coolant level. When the engine is COLD, meaning it hasn't been running for quite a while...

Re: related?

Unless something has changed in the 2008 model, I think you'll have to remove the dash to effectively replace the heater core. I've only had to do it a dozen times through the years on different...

Re: Temperature gauge issues

Don't use pipe tape or any sealant on the threads. It needs to make good contact to ground properly. Make sure the plug fit snugly as well. Also make sure you have a proper coolant level. Air pockets...

Re: Replaced plugs and wires and now it cranks but won't start

Recheck your work. You may have just bumped a wire loose or didn't connect something. Check coil pack plug. Disconnected battery, which post? Ground, positive or both? I never found it necessary to...

Re: Block Heater Trouble

Volt meter or Ohm meter? It is more common for the element to burn out unless there is actual visual damage to the cord. Poorly maintained coolant can cause a corrosive situation and is hard on them....

Re: rotted dipstick tube
