engine swap 2003 ranger 4.0
I bought a long block 4.0 replacement motor and have a question on the amount of time it takes to complete the job.

Got to looking at my problem today. We dropped the oil and filter nothing out of the ordinary. We then pulled the oil pan off and found several pieces of plastic. It looks like the plastic got sucked...

Can this be removed and changed, does it need to go back in exactly the same position it came out as far as the gears are concerned. Example like a distributor??

Lost oil pressure, while driving back from the beach. 1st time it has stranded me since I bought it new in 2003. Thank goodness I was at right at a state park and could pull right over. Now to fix...
