Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

It's an easy fix. Just need to install a...

I kinda plan on doing the same but I'm holding out for the new 2019 Ranger!

Colorado looks great though! Must be a night and day difference with all the features!

Re: Spongey Front End Suspension

I recently had the truck serviced at the dealership. They rotated the tires and aired them down since we had some snow. I filled them back up a few days later.

I did just order some Bilstein...

Spongey Front End Suspension

Recently lost the straight and stiff front end feel in my ranger at speeds above 65mph.

On the highway, the front end feels very squishy (easiest way to describe it). The steering doesn't feel as...

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

About 5 hours into a 7 1/2 road trip, the battery light came on.

Radio started to go out. Somehow I got lucky enough to limp it to a ford dealership in a small town. Dealership is closed for New...

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

Finally replaced the old muffler. This thing was in such bad shape. Completely empty on the inside so what's the point? Truck was too loud! Drone was terrible.

Re: Towing Help

Thanks for the replies all!

I did look under the truck, couldn't see any fresh trans-fluid.

I made it to my destination some 1700 miles away from where I started. The truck did surprisingly...

Towing Help

Currently traveling from Idaho to Illinois. I'm towing a uhaul 5x8 trailer with my 2004 4.0 Ranger with the 5-speed manual. After a day on the road (650 miles driven) I started smelling trans fluid...

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

I guess it's suppose to 'turn' the air and create more HP. Looks like a gimmick to me.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

Read up on the high idle issues. My truck does what most do. Cold start the RPMs jump up rather high.

Removed the IAC and cleaned it out. Was pretty grimy. ...

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

Moving 1700 miles away here in 30 days. The Ranger will be towing a small u-haul trailer so I've been doing general maintenance stuff to it.

Changed the trans fluid, fuel filter and air filter...

Re: Wiring a police scanner, Help Plz

Check out an auto parts store. They have fuse kits that gives you a crimped connection and allows the fuse to be retained. Couple bucks. I used one in my car to wire up a gauge. Very simple!
