Re: Hello everyone! long time reader, first time poster.

How's the air filter? Also try cleaning the mass air sensor. Known to cure many instabilities.

Re: 1989 Ranger

Sorry, but I'm not familiar with your model year, however it sounds about right. I remember removing the ashtray and 2 screws as well as 12 volt socket connection, but not sure if that was when doing...

Re: 1989 Ranger

Great! When using them, slide in until soft click, then pull apart slightly while also pulling towards you. This will prevent you from simply pulling them back out.

Re: 1989 Ranger

Purchase Ford radio removal tools, they are cheap. Look like 2 U shaped handles. Usually stocked in car audio stores, or of course online. They just insert into the four little holes on the sides of...

Re: Wind noise

I'd still say check all the rubber on the door for slightest damage. New latch bushing, maybe. Something to do with the pressure I'd imagine.

Re: Wind noise

@JAMMANICA , boo for not playing, but a huge thumbs up for being a stand up guy.
@ramsay731 yes, please be more specific, such as at certain speed, pitch of noise, since how long, etc. I would start...

Re: USB and Aux inputs

That turned out amazing! I hate mods that don't look stock, and you are the total opposite here.

Re: Spraying Bedliner - No Schutz Available!

Monstaliner had a roll on liner at some point. Maybe revise your search for roll on. I'll try to attach a video link, but I'm not always successful behind the keyboard

Re: A/C issues.. Maybe?

I usually never turn the blue/red knob all the way cold. I always felt it was due to the small cab size, since I never really run heat all the way, either. Fan speed is usually 1 or 2, (except for...

Re: Identifying aftermarket stereo system

Yeah, try removing the unit forward toward you. Looks like face flaps down and you would insert cd in slot. The faceplate doesn't want to waste real estate for an ugly slot.

Re: Identifying aftermarket stereo system

It looks to me, that the head unit is sitting too far into the dash. Minimal, if any of the silver cage should be showing. The face isn't meant to go into the cage, but rest in front of it on the...

Re: Somethings not right

Man, that conversation changed fast. Back to the original issue, I would thoroughly clean the whole area with Gunk and try to see things with a fresh perspective.

Re: Old owner, newish member

Thanks for the compliment! Yeah, MD uses salt, but not often needed. I try not to use the truck in bad weather since the 2WD is a bit loose in the back.
