Re: Lowered or Stock? Help

Throw some low pro bumps up front. Definitely sits like it’s been lowered though.

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

Added a Derale E-fan setup today on the truck. Very nice product and works great if anyone is looking to upgrade their cooling system ...

Re: Official Static Drop Thread

^^ could go with some 17x8 up front with 17x10 in the rear. Keep in mind though with more rear grip that will tend to make the truck understeer if you’re serious about all around grip. Just for...

Lowered/Stock Rangers on 18 inch wheels

Wouldn’t recommend the wider wheels simply to accommodate off-road fenders imo. I have 17x8 Bullitt mustang wheels with 235/55/17 tires. Needed 1” wheel spacers to make them fit and look decent. Plan...

Re: Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

Doing great so far. Already have logged about 6000 miles since the swap, gets over 22 mpg on the freeways. Still contemplating switching to e fan setup or keeping the mechanical fan.

Re: Truck doesn't start, but cranks.. help.

Has anyone mentioned maybe it could be the crank position sensor? Have you checked for spark?

Re: Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

Update from the dead.. finished up doing a 5.0 swap over the past month or so, turned out awesome! All parts were from a super clean low miles 2000 Explorer. Used the engine, trans, and engine...

Re: Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

Haha thanks man! That's just about what everyone else says, the wheels just give it sort of a classic older style look more than mini truck I think

Re: Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

Haven't bumped this thread in awhile. Recently put an 8.8 rear end that has a limited slip and taller 3.55 gears. While I was there I notched the frame a few inches and installed some fox shocks to...

Re: Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

Took the truck out to an autocross race a few weeks ago since my co worker convinced me to race it. Truck was very under-powered compared to a lot of vehicles out there, but truck actually did very...

Re: Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

Finally swapped out the front bumps to some low profile Poly-Urethane bumps. Only had the factory ones trimmed down at first, these new ones are def night and day difference. Afterwards, took...

Re: Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

Found a Cree LED bar on Craigslist for cheap, decided to put it on the front of the ranger. All hooked up, should be a nice addition to the worn out headlights. ...

Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

Went to install the air shocks today and ran into a few issues that eventually persuaded me to end up not installing them. Main problem was the factory e-brake lines always rub the shocks on every...

Re: Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

It would clear at ride height, but that's about it. Our trucks still bump at the same spot so it would still hit the frame throughout the suspension travel

Yea kinda bummed about it myself, I looked forward to the better cornering as well haha. I think an aftermarket one is about my only option for this thing. I might check out a roush one, because...

Re: Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

So word of advice to anyone looking to upgrade your front sway bar, a factory Ford Explorer sway bar DOES NOT fit a ranger with coil spring suspension. I'm sure it only will fit 4wd or Ford Edge...

Re: Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

Nice man thanks! I'm just trying to show what else these trucks are capable of with a little out-of-the-box thinking. I could have done a spindle lift with 31's and drove it like that, but it still...

Re: Daily driver project ranger 3.Low

Thanks guys!
Took advantage of the half off sale this weekend and got a few goodies. Snagged a beefier front sway bar from a Ford Explorer, and also got a rear sway bar from a ranger. Was looking...

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

Miraculously I found one that was on a ranger at pick and pull and the bed was already pulled. Was much easier to remove that one than one from a bronco 2 lol

Re: Official Static Drop Thread

Well pick and pull is half off sale this weekend haha so I'll probably grab a front explorer sway bar and rear sway bar from a bronco 2 if it looks like it will work. Thanks for the pic!
