You can take apart the cluster and put a new speedo motor in. Also if you do that, you can roll the odometer on the new speedo motor to your current milage

It could be a faulty inertia switch. There are videos on youtube about them. They commonly fail in fords.

^^ or it could be a popped out freeze plug. That would be less expensive. You could fix that with an expandable plug

Just because your battery is charged doesn't mean it is good. I would have it tested. I've had issues like that with mine, the battery was charged so I threw a different one in and it fired right up....

There is a baffel in the plastic part of the intake tube you can cut out. Other than that, turbo :)

I had the same issue with my 97. Sometimes the rpms would stay high at a stop and sometimes my truck would bog. Then finally i broke down in traffic on the highway. I pushed it to the paint store...

Here is richard. The $1600 replacement for my old truck. I have had it since summer and have put new wheels and tires on it, a cat back side exit exhaust, a 2 inch leveling kit, and updated mirrors....

Snow drifted it for half an hour. I don't know if you guys remember me but i totalled the old truck. But i got another ranger. Its a 1997 xlt 2wd with the 2.3....

4.0 with a limited slip 8.8 and disk brakes. Nice bucket seats, rusty as hell with a blown tranny

Don't get the cobra 19. Its not even worth $40. I returned it and am going to get a 29 from Craigslist today. Just go to the junk yard and get a new bezel. My junk yard had like 5 decent ones
