if both the heater hoses are hot then i wouldn't think it'd be the control valve. also, if they're both hot i dont see how it could be a clogged core either, because they're both getting hot, so...

the clamping force should be the same if you torque them correctly. they do prevent head lift, but it doesn't matter on a stock motor.

if it moves around a lot. bounce the truck up and down and look at it. try to hear if thats where its coming from. and its pretty simple.. like 2 bolts :]

on the shock, yes, if its an end link, you're prolly gonna have to put a new one on it. but they aren't expensive :]

dont know much about the f-150, but i could assume the gearing would be different, its probably a longer axle, and that the u-joint for the f150 pinion gear could possibly be different than the one...

anything can work with enough modification, butttttttttt your best bet is to pull some axles out of one at a junkyard or something. does it need front or rear axles? or botH?
