Re: 60/40 seat

Re: Ranger named 'Gold Dust'

In light of a recent thread, I won't be posting here anymore. If you want to ask me something, have a conversation, or whatever else, feel free to add me on skype.
If you don't, that's fine too.

Re: Headlight bulbs high/low beams

Can we not agree to disagree? You have your opinion and I respect that, I have mine. Also, bad idea to use a phone while you're driving.

Re: Headlight bulbs high/low beams

Like I said a few times, Projectors are the best way to go. I'm not denying or trying to disprove that. Everyone who says that is indeed correct.

What I'm saying is having a plain xenon (or...

Re: Headlight bulbs high/low beams

Projectors are definitely best, I won't deny that for a milisecond. In a perfect world, such kits wouldn't exist in the first place, or if they did, at the very least didn't fit in reflector lenses....

Re: Headlight bulbs high/low beams

X5 on the projector retrofit, or flat out buy projector headlight lenses to start with. Either way, as long as projectors are there.

However, (and I'm sure someone will hate me for this), I also...

Re: Interior led lights

The same dome light wire (Black with a light blue tracer, I believe) can be found under the dash as well, near the driver's side fusebox. Much easier than running a wire all the way down.

Re: performance flash on a standard transmission worth it?

@Kealel: A 5.0 v8 with a manual would be godly. Good luck finding one, though!

@OP: If you want to do a swap, your best bet is to get the engine and tranny online. Get the PCM, engine harness, GEM...

Try summitracing. They got a good handful of aftermarket parts, and stock too.

door lock switches

I plan on mounting a pair of lock switches in a custom switch panel as they won't fit on my non-power door handle bezels.
However, I have nothing to find out what kind of hole they require; how big...

Do you have a set in this color but with homelink/lit mirrors? If so, I got someone who will likely take 'em off your hands.

Re: Ranger named 'Gold Dust'

Well this isn't cool at all. Took my floor mats out to clean 'em up and I found the backside on the passenger mat was wet. Felt the carpet and it was damp. No odor or color to it. It's like someone...

Re: Thoughts on custom console

Can confirm. Did the very same thing to my 1999.

You will need to shoot a pair of screws into your floorboard though to securely mount the console, btw. On mine, I bolted it up to the dash and...

Re: Ranger named 'Gold Dust'

The light is on, yes. No codes are being thrown. I haven't actually tried them to see if the system works. To my understanding, if the light is on it's disabled. No DTCs, nothing.
