Also, wax type depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Hard waxes for protectant, caranubas for a high gloss. I go for protection. I get about three months between waxes with turtle wax hard...

Turtle wax hard shell, with bug and tar remover and clay bar prior of course. If your gonna do it do it right. Pics from my detail sunday.
