Long time no update.. Life again gets in the way. Works going well, went to KOH with Ruffstuff this year and welded ultra4 cars back together which was cool. Getting ready to move soon so my focus...

My main thought when putting them in was more contact between the bumper and rear crossmember, with focus on being tugged out of the sand lol.

Spent most of this past week worrying about flooding in my shop. Got the bumper on and gussets welded in.

There are different yokes, i have a non-hd trans and it is different than my 2.5 trans and 4.0 auto trans yoke..

Not sure. I believe that because the output shaft is a different size on each one, that may change the length. But that is something to look into..

Thanks. Sooo glad i chose a 5 speed, i chose to put in the $50 craigslist trans over the $100 pick n pull trans. Ive opened a ton of these, and ive never seen a cleaner one than the one i scored for...

Havent bumped this but got alot done lately, after a time when I'd had enough and left it alone for a few weeks. Hope to start it sometime in January but we all know i like to blow past deadlines....

Ahh yes. Cool, looks good. A buddy has one with heims on his crossmember and it moves forward and back. Talk about some tight clearance on yours.

I meant what do the bolts go through at the ends of the crossmember, bushings? Heims? Just metal to metal?

lima has been long gone! so i may have tracked a harness down.. time will tell. but this thing could be wrapped up my new years and driving hopefully by december, cant wait to drive it to work to...

Ended up not using 2in for most of the crossmember, so I sleeved 1.5in tube into the shackle hangers.

Its a Lincoln 180hd, 220v mig. I forgot i left the voltage down so those welds pictured are a tad cold but will be fine for just limit straps.

Busted out the rear crossmember and boxed the frame this weekend. Some of the best "fab work" ive done yet, i love how it came out....
