Did you check the clutch master cyl fluid level? Or maybe there is some air in the line. Thats about all I can guess, unless the slave cyl really is going bad.

Is it possible the clutch rod popped out of place, then maybe slipped back in? Look up under the dash, and you will see a rod going from the clutch pedal and into the clutch master cy,l and also...
