Thank you so much for the info. Will have to get a young friend to get up underneath the dash and go from there. Without your help, would have never even thought to look in this location. :)

Only thing between the steering column and the accelerator is black firewall, do not see any black box. Course @ 80 years old, can't get really UP underneath. The relay I speaking of is totally...

Backup lights stay on

Just noticed my backup lights stay on even when the engine is off and trans is in park. What could the prob be that makes 'em stay on?

Dealer pod replacement estimate

My 2000 Ranger needs cruise pods replaced as they are peeling and have become hard over the last 16 years. Called the local dealer to get estimate and this is what he quoted:

WOW! That sure seems a TON high to me. Two years ago, my 2000 XLT 4x2 needed upper/lower ball joints AND transmission gasket. Local repair, not the dealership, made ALL the repairs, plus replaced...
